What counts as scope creep?

Scope creep is work expanding beyond what was agreed. A new deliverable or changed brief may be additional work. A correction needed to meet the original brief may already be included. Revision limits, exclusions, approvals and the change-request process can affect the comparison.

Start with the agreement and the request

Describe both as specifically as you can. Include a relevant clause if you have one, but you do not need to paste the whole contract. When the information is vague or conflicting, the result will explain what remains unclear and suggest questions to discuss.

This tool compares descriptions; it does not establish a breach, a right to refuse work or an enforceable price. Read more about scope of work and revision limits, or check your full agreement.
